It’s time to start #9. Procrastination only works so long before the need to create and produce becomes dominant again. Some time ago I photographed and traced a Strad 1720 template. I imported that into Vectric Aspire and modified it. The length is the same, but the middle has been modified. The Strad is outlined in black, my version in red.
A few days ago I took some MDF off-cut material and cut this template on the CNC. Yesterday I applied a coat of epoxy to stabilize it. This epoxy has a 48+ hour cure time, so work is on hold until tomorrow. In the interim I’ll think about how much work I want to do on the CNC, and how much using traditional hand tools.
