This week I adjusted the edge thickness on both plates. It's very consistent, but a bit thin in
the C-bout areas. I used a medium finger plane and sanding stick. To check the thickness I used
a Graduating Caliper from Atlantic Violin Supplies. To finish, I did another sanding pass using
a wood block with 300-grit sandpaper.
Following my notes from my third instrument,
I laid out the drilling guidelines on both plates. Next week I will drill them out, then start
removing excess material to approach the final thicknesses.
