This was our third year as exhibitors at the Goderich Celtic Roots Festival. The weather was variable, but no big storms. The damage from 2011's tornado is still visible. Most of the trees were destoyed when the tornado went right through Lions Harbour Park. The remains have been beautifully sculpted with haunting visages. The newly planted trees are doing well, but will take years to provide the shade to which we were accustomed. Nevertheless, the music was excellent as always, and the attenders were very appreciative.
We had the pleasure and honour again to have our instruments played by many amazing musicians. Andrew, Geraldine, and Phil of The Once spent quite a bit of time with us. Phil is now playing my Violin #3. Kate was displaying her silver jewelry, which attracted many who would not normally have stopped.
I was able to show the pieces of Ashley's custom violin. Fortunately she is very patient! In all, we had a great time and will be back next year.
