Another short day in the shop. I only have enough clamps to glue one plate at a time. Today it was the large violin's turn. With fairly fluid glue, I brushed the linings and blocks quickly but carefully, followed as quickly as possible by the edge of the belly plate. I inserted all six alignment pins and applied the clamps as quickly as possible. I started with the ends and C bouts, then filled in from there.
All this only took about a half hour. The rest of the afternoon I removed nails from scrap wood.
